US Navy Dive School Physical Training Requirements

Bill Resser remembers com­eting for York Euphoric back in 1975 when diving was just as common as the butterfly or breaststroke.

And while the sport of div­ng continues to thrive in parts of the sticks like Florida and alifornia, its popularity in Pennsylvania and here in the midstate has been a roller oaster — one that appears to be on a douse decline.

“There seems to be a trend that fewer and fewer schools are supporting diving,” said Resser, former head guide and urrent assistant with North­ern.
